Original MP40 barrel assembly with a set of broken grips. These relics were dug together in Eastern Europe but that is all that is known about them.
The barrel assembly is fairly complete but minus the Bakelite resting bar. The front sight assembly and muzzle nut are rusted to the barrel. Though the barrel is rusted and heavily pitted the receiver end of the barrel and the internal thread area of the locking nut with the required two arch bushings (both bearing serial number 1149) were protected from the elements and can be attached to an MP40 parts kit.
