Top hangar of this two-piece medal features a spread-winged eagle perched on crossed cannons and patriotic shield, with, “G.A.R.” on the bar. Original pin is present on reverse. Suspended from hangar is a red, white and blue striped grosgrain ribbon with gold lettering that reads, “DELEGATE / 48TH ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT DEPT. OF INDIANA / GARY, INDIANA / JUNE, 1927”. Attached medal features an image of a factory. Below this is a G.A.R. star.
Measures 6” long. Ribbon shows light surface dirt. Some fraying in areas. [sl]
