The front of the "EXCELSIOR STEREO VIEWS" and "BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG." The bottom of the front reads "VALLEY OF DEATH, FROM LITTLE ROUND TOP, GETTYSBURG" and "ILLUSTRATED W. M. CHASE BALTIMORE." In the foreground is the monument for Battery L, 1st Ohio Light Artillery on the northwestern slope of Little Round Top. Visible in the distance are a number of tents set up in the Wheatfield, most likely for one of the reunions held at Gettysburg; the men in the foreground appear to be veterans, with ribbons affixed to their coats. There were a number of encampments in the Wheatfield in 1886 and 1888, and probably other dates as well. Also visible in the distance at right are the Trostle house and barn.
Minor wear to edges of mount, otherwise in fine condition with great detail to the images.
