An elegant little powder flask for a pistol. The tapered spout, spring with blue left on it, and brass thumb catch are all in place on the round brass top and collar, with which is decorated with some incised lines like the spout and shows a medium bright with some age stains. The copper body has raised ribs and transitions from round to an oval cross-section with a band at the bottom and oblong, bulbous base that is ribbed as well, and would function to keep it from slipping from the hand. The body retains its lacquer finish, showing some rubs on high points, but largely as a rich brown with purple tones. The body shows a push on one side, but the seams are intact and this shows off very nicely. [sr][ph:m]
