Belt is made out of khaki woven canvas material designed by the Germans for use in tropical areas during World War Two. The belt meas. approx. 1.75” wide x 36.50” inches long. The material is in mint condition. One end is marked on the inside with the German maker and the year 1942. This marking is on the end with the keeper. The opposite end has a metal buckle attached by two tongues on the back that pass through sewn holes on the belt. The face of the buckle has the German Eagle and swastika with the wording “GOTT MIT UNS” or “GOD WITH US.” The buckle is painted a tropical green color that has chipped a little here and there. Behind the buckle the belt is stamped with a size “95.” Attached to the back of the belt are two straps with “D” rings.
This item is in really wonderful condition and would be a great asset to any World War Two or German collection.
