1940 pattern, stamped steel, box buckle, with a dark field gray finish. The buckle features a smooth outer field with a central embossed, circular rope border with an army eagle at center surrounded by “GOTT MIT UNS” and a half laurel wreath. The field gray finish is about 90% with some scuffs and scratches.
The reverse of the buckle is a mirror image of the obverse with the brazed keeper and bar with two prongs for attaching to the leather belt. There is no maker’s mark.
Leather belt shows wear but is complete. No markings are visible. [ad] ph:L]
