Original U.S. WW2 Army Air Force (AAF) Folding Machete. In 1942 the USAAF included the folding machete in the B-2 and B-4 bail out emergency survival kits for flight crews.

Machete has folding polished steel blade showing light rust, but no pitting. No edge nicks, but several dings along the spine of the blade. Maker marked, “Cattaraugus U.S.A.”  Heavy black bakelite grips. Locking device works properly. Removable steel edge protector with original black painted finish. Measures approximately 15.5” long overall when unfolded.
