Blade is in very nice condition. True edge has no nicks. Blade has 90% original finish over its length. Finish does show some rub marks from drawing and returning the blade to the scabbard.
Iron counterguard is not marked and shows some surface rust. Blade is stamped in the ricasso area with “CAMILLUS, N.Y.” in one line while the opposite side is marked “U.S.N.” over “MARK 2.” Stampings are crisp though there is some surface dirt in this area. Leather grip is in excellent condition. Pommel is dark.
Gray plastic scabbard has gray woven frog. Iron throat is marked on front “USN MK2” in two lines while the opposite side has “NORD-8114, B. M. Co. ½ VP” in two lines. Scabbard is in nice condition. [ad] [ph:L]
