This is a Drehzahlmesser (tachometer) FL.20227, used in the famous ME109K WW2 German fighter aircraft. The gauge was produced around 1944-1945 and measured the engine RPM. It was located on the main instrument panel of the fighter.
The tachometer is made of steel and aluminum with 95% of the original paint remaining. The face has the FL number stamped and on the back is the serial number plate bearing number 20043.
Overall, the item is in physically good condition. It is not known if it works.
Item would make an excellent display or help to complete a control panel. [ad] [ph:L]
