Blade meas. approx. 16.00 inches long with a central fuller that runs approx. 12.50 inches. Blade surface is dark from oxidation with moderate surface dirt. There is some minor scattered pitting. Edge has several small nicks. Ricasso is marked “U.S. / 130563” on one side while the opposite is marked “S. A.” over a bursting bomb over “1906.”
Short blued iron guard is straight with muzzle ring at top and catch at bottom on opposite side. Grips are made of ribbed black molded plastic and held by a single screw. Iron pommel has bird head shape.
Scabbard is hard formed green fiberglass with an iron throat marked with “U.S.” inside of a bursting bomb. Scabbard is in very nice condition. Attached to the back of the iron throat are hooks for attaching to the web belt. [ad][ph:L]
