The drawn knife meas. approx. 10.00 inches long from point to pommel. The parkerized blade is approx. 6.75 inches long. It has a clipped point with a true edge that is free of nicks. Blade is marked “U.S.N. MARK 1” in two lines on one side of the ricasso. The other is marked “PAL” in an oval flanked by “RH” and “-35.”
At the base of the blade is an iron guard. Grip is in excellent condition. Iron pommel cap is also parkerized.
Knife comes in the original gray hard plastic scabbard with an iron throat marked “USN” over “MK1.” The reverse of the throat is lightly marked “NORD-8114” over “B. M. CO… VP” Scabbard has a gray woven canvas frog with retention straps made of the same material. The straps snap over the grip of the knife to hold it in place.
The overall condition of the item is good. The scabbard exhibits almost no wear. Iron surfaces are good. [ad] [ph:m]
