These relics were recovered from a crash site of a German fighter aircraft. The location of the wreck is not known.
Items are components of the aircraft oxygen system. The first piece is a section of wood that meas. 3.00 x 5.00 inches with two gauges mounted on it. The top gauge is an O2 gauge while at bottom is the pressure gauge. Both gauges are original with production marks. The wood mount and the face only of the O2 gauge are replacements.
Also present is the stem of the oxygen shutoff valve and a barometric capsule. The capsule is circular with a blue body and an OD green face with “SAUERSTOFF-DUSCHE” (OXYGEN SHOWER) clearly marked in white paint.
With the item is a page copied from a book showing the interior of a fighter with the pieces offered here pictured to show where they were located in the cockpit.
Very interesting relics for the World War Two aviation collector. [ad]
