Black leather cover with “Meine Dienstzeit” or “My Period in the Service” in silver on the cover. The album has 136 photos of various sizes. Most of the photos deal with the 320th Pioneer Battalion and an R.A.D. unit. Many of the photos have inscriptions written on or under them on the album page. Some of the things pictured are preparations for the big Nazi Party rally in Nuremberg in 1938, maneuvers with officers, machine gunners and an exploding shell, troop review in a town square showing SS and SA soldiers, soldier advancing under fire with shells exploding, more 1938 Nuremburg photos, marching off to war and a poem “The man with the spade is on watch for Germany.” There are also some shots of a Zeppelin Field. Item is in good condition. Each page is separated by a thin page of rice paper. [ad] [ph:L]
