RELIC WORLD WAR TWO GERMAN ENIGMA MACHINE PARTS

$650.00 SOLD

Item Code: 873-76

The Enigma machine was the mains cipher machine that the German Wehrmacht/Armed Forces used to code secret messages during World War 2. These cipher codes were broken by the Allied Forces at Bletchley Park which some historians estimated that it shortened the war by 2 years.

This is a collection of original Enigma Machine parts in relic condition. These unserviceable parts were found buried in various locations throughout Germany and Eastern Europe. They are a good example of the components that made up the machine.

The parts consist of:

  1. Pieces of the plug board (Steckerbrett)
  2. A portion of the advance bar located below the keyboard
  3. The left side of the keyboard base
  4. Two of the three styles of keys
  5. Three of the various styles of switches
  6. Remnants of two bulbs (maker is Osram) that came off a lamp board
  7. An Enigma rotor’s numerical ring and locking ring
  8. A very rare reflector (Umkehrwalze D) metal housing
  9. The rear portion of the base located under the rotors

10.  A contact found in the battery box

11.  A portion of the rear piano hinge found on the Enigma wooden box

These Enigma Machine relic parts are getting harder to come by and these would make an excellent display for any World War 2 collection.   [ad][ph:L]
