OD green cloth roll up kit that ties closed. When opened the kit meas. approx. 9.00 x 14.50 inches.
Across the top is a narrow, long pocket that is empty.
At center are five pockets, four contain period items. The first holds a shaving brush with a broken handle. The second holds a period can of “COLGATE SHAVE STICK.” The third holds a pack of “DORIN SOAP LEAVES” and a pack of leather leaf soap with a drawing of a soldier on the cover and a caption that reads “LETS CLEAN UP THE AXIS.” The fourth pocket contains a period can of “COLGATE TOOTH POWDER” while the fifth pocket is empty.
Below the five pockets just described is another long narrow empty pocket.
At the very bottom of the kit is a long deep pocket that contains several items. They are a small sewing kit containing thread, buttons and needles, a wrapped bar of Army soap, a set of extra GI issue shoelaces and a still unopened toothbrush house in a metal case marked “UNITED STATES ARMY.” [ad] [ph:L]
