World War Two four pocket blouse named to F. D. May in the right sleeve.
Blouse is made of forest green wool material with a four-button front and two breast and two lower pockets. There is also a cloth epaulette on each shoulder. All buttons are present and are the correct Marine Corps pattern. The collar has a matching pair of screw backed eagle, globe and anchor Marine Corps insignia. Each sleeve has a green on red Sergeant’s chevron while above the right pocket is the “Ruptured Duck” discharge insignia. The left shoulder has the patch for the 6th Marine Division.
The interior of the blouse is lined with green cotton material while the sleeves are lined with white muslin. Faintly stamped on the right sleeve lining is the name “F. D. MAY” while the left sleeve is marked “5M / COLLEGE HALL FASHIONS.” The contract number is faded but the date reads “FEB. 1, 1944.”
The exterior of the blouse has one or two minor moth bites while the inside is in near perfect condition.
With the blouse is the black leather garrison belt with brass buckle and the forest green overseas cap.
