Nickeled case meas. approx. 4.00 x 1.75 x 0.75 of an inch. The lid is embossed with a spread-winged eagle with a US shield on his chest over a plain rectangle that can be stamped or engraved with an owner’s name. The eagle is flanked by a crossed sword, rifle and musket with an engineer’s castle superimposed over them and an anchor with crossed signal flag and Medical caduceus.
When the case is open the lid has a purple lining with silver printing with the Gillette logo and letters that reads “US SERVICE SET.” There is a cloth tab that can be pulled which exposes a mirror. The lower section is also lined in purple and houses a razor that is stored in two pieces but can be screwed together for use. There is also a small case that still contains 6 wrapped unused Gillette razors. The lip of the razor case under the removable cover has been scratched with “JANC.”
