This souvenir is from the 1938 GAR encampment in Washington, Pennsylvania which was a big glass producing area.
The glass jar bank stands approx. 3.75 inches tall and meas. approx. 2.00 inches across the bottom. One side of the bottle has raised lettering that reads “ATLAS STRONG SHOULDER MASON” while the opposite side has “G.A.R. / ENCAMPMENT / WASHINGTON, PA. / 1938” IN RED.
Jar has a brass cap at top with a cut slit for inserting coins. The lid is marked “ATLAS SEAL-ALL / ARC-LID.”
Bank is in good condition. Brass cap shows some moderate scratching. [ad] [ph:L]
