Four piece medal has a top hangar in the shape of a spread-winged eagle perched on crossed cannons. Suspended by two chains is the second medal which reads, “REPRESENTATIVE / GAR / INDIANAPOLIS”. Third medal is silver colored and shows an image of the state seal of Indiana. Lower round medal has an image of William Ketcham. Reverse of medal reads, “55th NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT / G.A.R. / SEPT. 25-29, 1921 / INDIANAPOLIS, IND”.
Hanging behind medals is a gold colored grosgrain ribbon. Ribbon has torn and frayed.
Measures 6” long. Brass has darkened with age but still shows original gilt in areas. Ribbon shows light surface dirt. [sl]
