Top hanger is a brass framed, celluloid seal with, “SULLIVAN COUNTY” on the face. Reverse of hangar has original pin with hook, and bar for suspending the blue silk ribbon. Ribbon has gold lettering that reads, “ANNUAL REUNION, 143RD REGIMENT NEW YORK VOLUNTEER INFANTRY, CAMP HOLLEY, OCTOBER 10, 1862”.

Center of ribbon features a brass framed celluloid seal with a red star on the face. Above this are two American flags that have been applied to the ribbon. Bottom of ribbon has gold bullion fringe which has darkened with age. Reverse of ribbon has manufacturer’s tag from, “THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO.”.

Measures approx. 9 inches long. Very slight surface dirt is present. Ribbon has one small flaw at the top left corner. Otherwise very good condition.  [sm]
