White ribbon measuring approximately 2” wide x 7” long suspended from a metal hanger with pin back. Face of this hanger reads “MEMBER”. Ribbon reads, “153d REGIMENT PENNSYLVANIA VOLUNTEERS 1862 –‘63” in gold print. Under this is a horizontal red crescent moon to signify the 1st Division of the 11th Corps. Under this continues the text in gold, “REUNION BETHLEHEM, PA. SEPTEMBER 25, 1915”. Gold fringe, 1 ½” long, hangs from the bottom of the ribbon. The entire ribbon is clean and in solid condition with clear printing. A paper label is sewn to the back with the ribbon manufacturer’s information.

The 153^rd was organized at Easton, PA in September, 1862.  Attached to 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 11th Corps, Army of the Potomac, in July, 1863. The unit duty in the Defense of Washington, D. C. and then fought in the battles of Chancellorsville and Gettysburg. They mustered out of service on July 24, 1863. The regiment lost 1 officer and 48 enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 28 enlisted men by disease, for a total 77.  [jet]
