Small celluloid button with a prison stockade at center. Inside the stockade is a Union prisoner being attacked by a dog. Suspended from the button is a gold ribbon with silver lettering that reads “UNION EX-PRISONERS OF WAR ASS’N OF WESTERN MASS. GREENFIELD, MASS. APRIL 19, 1911.” Ribbon has small separation above date and right below the button. Button has pin on back.
