Pair of bullion epaulettes with japanned tin carrying case.

Epaulette upper-surfaces feature a bullion brigadier’s star & eagle button. Gilt ribbed strap with brass outer shell, with hanging double row of bright bullion tassels. Under-sides are sheathed in brown with gold silk cushions & brass fastener clasps.

The epaulettes exhibit very slight outer tarnish, with one of them displaying a tiny, quarter-inch dull spot near the general’s star. Very light wear along the underside. Overall epaulette condition, VG to fine. Carrying case outer-japanning is heavily scratched and nearly gone along the outer sides. Inner case clean and unscratched. Solid upper handle & side clasp fastener.

An exceptionally good pair of CW brigadier epaulettes. Great display piece. [jp] [ph:L]
