Civil War officer’s hat cord in good original condition. Hat cord is a pleasing combination of black thread interwoven with gold bright and all-dead bullion thread that produced a very handsome uniform accessory. The double looped cord measures approximately 40” in total length by ¼” wide in diameter and features two gold bullion spun acorn-shaped tassel ends. Cord is tied in a double knot 2” from the acorns. One acorn missing the center braiding. Entire hat cord is in good condition with no pulls, rips, or fraying. These uniform accessories are becoming difficult to find. A nice piece at a good price.
