Visor cap has a dark blue crown with a band of sky-blue around the base for infantry, flanked by gold braid.
The gold braid chinstrap is anchored on each side by standard US eagle buttons.
The bound visor has a black felt top decorated with oakleaves done in gold thread while the underside is lined with a dark green leather.
Attached to the front of the crown is a very nice screw backed officer’s eagle cap insignia.
The upper part of the interior is lined with a very nice gold cotton fabric with a clear plastic sweat liner with pocket for owner’s label. This plastic liner also protects the large diamond shaped maker’s label that reads “BERKSHIRE DeLUXE” along with a decorative spread-winged eagle within a square.
Sweatband is of brown leather with ventilation holes. It meas. approx. 1.75 inches wide. Back of the sweatband has a ribbon tied into a bow and a small paper label that reads “45% WOOL – 55% DACRON POLYESTER – LEE UNIFORM CAP MFG. CO. BALTIMORE, MD.”
