Early 20th century Confederate battle flag that was used to decorate the grave of a Confederate soldier on Confederate Memorial Day. This flag was used by the United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapter of Americus, Georgia for this purpose. Flag shows small holes on the left corners from where it was likely stapled to a pole, but is otherwise in very good condition with colors remaining bright.
Flag measures approx. 16 ¾” and is housed in a nice cherry frame that measures 16” x 18”. Frame is in very good condition with some scattered small nicks. Reverse has wire for hanging purposes. [sm]
