Stamped brass infantry hunting horn insignia missing mouthpiece and hooks on back. The loop of the horn is bent some and broken in one spot. These insignia were very thin and did not fair well against ground action of freezing, thawing and plowing. Dug in the 1862-63 Union Army winter camp near Fredericksburg.
