Recovered at Orange, VA. [See Mullinax, p. 111, plate 197]. Small plate, measuring 41 x72 mm. Die-stamped face, brass wire hooks. Obverse lettering is clean and ding-free, with light grime around the margins. Reverse backing exhibits oxidation and grime. One brass hook slightly bent, both solidly attached. Extremely scarce with attached hooks. Magnificent display piece for serious Confederate plate collectors.
