Here is a Riker case filled with relics from “1st Battle-field of Bull Run” as the paper label states. There are thirteen bullets, a pocket knife, and six buttons. All accompanied by a paper label noting the location and donor.
Bullets exhibit a light patina supporting the notion that these are early battlefield pick-ups. Among the buttons there are two “flower” buttons, two plain “eagles”, an eagle “I”, and an eagle “C” button. All of these retain nice traces of gilt.
This is a fine, early, group of 1st Bull Run relics. [jet][ph:jet]
