RELIC – FIRED 12-PDR CANISTER BASE PLATE

$125.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 2024-2329

This is a relic canister plate.  Made of iron, about 4.25” in diameter and 0.25” thick. These were fired from US and CS 12-pounder Napoleon cannons.

This is the bottom “pusher” plate and shows the dents where the iron cannister balls sat when the round was fired. You didn’t want to be on the receiving end of these.

A very interesting artillery relic. [jet] [ph:L]
