Button features "NC" surrounded by a sunburst, made for North Carolina troops.

One-piece stamped brass coat button. Measures 22mm. No back mark. Shank missing.

This pattern features seven rays. "NC" encircled on a lined background, sunrays on a stippled background.

Reported to have been recovered at Fort Fisher.  [jet][ph:m/L]
