Half of a Confederate cannon ball presenting all of the critical parts of this type of artillery projectile.

Iron shell with yellow Sulphur matrix, iron case shot balls, half of lead side-loader plug, and complete Confederate fuse. Space where bursting charge was located is clearly displayed.
