This is a very fine condition “Heavy Thick” Confederate frame waist belt buckle. See #170 on page 97 of Mullinax’s “Confederate Buckles & Plates” book.
In very good condition with dark green patina overall. Measures 60mm x 75mm. This unusual style features two wide tines. No bends and very little wear.
Reported to be recovered from the scene of Third Winchester. [jet][ph:L]
