This relic was formerly in the world-renowned Texas Civil War Museum.
Relic is a Remington New Model Army revolver serial #124453. All that remains is the 8.00 inch octagon barrel with a partially visible maker’s mark, frame, six shot cylinder, trigger guard and grip frame. All the interior parts, hammer, trigger, loading lever and frame screws are missing.
Serial number matches on the underside of the barrel and on the grip frame. Cylinder comes loose. Nipples are impacted with hardened mud and dirt.
