“COLT’S PATENT” MOLD FOR .36 CAL. BULLETS PICTURED IN “ROUND BALL TO RIMFIRE, PART THREE”

$195.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 236-838

Here is an iron bullet mold for Navy revolvers (.36 caliber). Two cavity type; one round ball, one conical ball. Typical Civil War-era mold in well-worn condition; surface moderately pitted overall. Possibly this could even be a very well-cleaned relic. Minor remnants of “Colt’s Patent” stamp remains on top of sprue cutter. Cavities show no dings or scrapes. Mold opens and closes freely.

Iron hinge style mold with integral sprue cutter is attached at the end by a pin.

This mold is from the collection of author/publisher Dean Thomas and is one of the three molds pictured in his book, “Round Ball to Rimfire, Part Three” on page 82.   [jet] [ph:L]
