This is the large, carbine and rifle size Sharps bullet. Technically, 32-bore (~.52 cal.)
Multi-grooved bullet with tie ring at bottom. Tan/gray patina, no dings or damage.
This “multi-groove” bullet design was by Gomez and Mills who held U.S. patent #21,253, dated August 24, 1858. [jet] [ph:L]
