Offered here is a small piece of a Lieutenant’s or Captain’s rank insignia. This is the small “bar” that was part of the shoulder strap insignia.

This is stamped brass with false embroidered texture. Brown patina with remnants of gold wash is recesses. Measures 0.62” x 033”.1435

Recovered in Federal camps around Fredericksburg, Virginia.  [jet] [ph:L]
