Offered here is a large picket bullet. This bullet measures 0.518” diameter x 0.98” tall with solid base and flat nose. White patina with some gray showing through at usual rub points.
The “Picket” term pre-dates the Civil War and refers to all bullets of this conical nature. Pickets were used in the famed Kentucky or Pennsylvania rifles, as well as in some sharpshooting or target rifles. [jet] [ph:jet]
