This item is a “bullet in wood”. This being a fired Civil War bullet that struck a tree, and this is what has survived after 150+ years. Smashed lead bullet shows interesting view with the trail of the bullet visible and small pieces of the bullet lead embedded along that path. Piece measures 10” x 2” x 1.5” overall and has been heavily varnished.
