Bayonet is complete with a full-length triangular blade and socket with mortise. All is encrusted with a thin layer of rust. No markings are visible.
Half-way down the length of one of the blades edges there is a crude 2.50 inch long flaw that makes one suspect Confederate manufacture. The blade is also slightly bent.
Location of recovery is not known. [ad] [ph:L]
