Excavated remains of a tree with a bullet fired into it.  Bullet is a .58 caliber minie ball. Piece of wood has been sectioned to show the lead bullet. Cavity and three grooves are visible.

Wood measures 5” long x 2” wide and remains stable. Piece is uncoated.
