On June 30, 1863 during its approach march to Gettysburg, the Union 2nd Corps camped at Taneytown, Maryland. Over the years this camp has yielded many relics including the several buttons offered here.
Coat sized General Service Eagle buttons. All have faces that are free of cracks and dents and all have shanks. Some shanks may be bent. None show any gilt. We have 13 and will send you the best one available at the time of your order. [ad] [ph:L]
