The standard ammunition for the 3-inch Parrot rifled cannon. This shell remains in excellent condition. The Parrott percussion fuse is in place in the nose of the shell. Iron body shows only light pitting. A brass sabot is complete at the base.
Recovered from the James River near City Point, Virginia. Drilled and deactivated. [JET] [ph:L]
