Iron scissor-type mold to cast a lead round ball for muskets. Single cavity mold with spout and a sprue cutter in handle. Cavity measures approximately 0.56”. The number “24” is stamped in handle which means “24 balls to the pound” which equates to approximately .58 caliber. This diameter bullet would be used in .58 caliber rifle muskets or could be used with a patch for larger smoothbore muskets. Some light surface rust. [jet]
