Excavated ramrod from a Model 1861 rifle musket recovered at Appomattox. Ramrod only. Complete ramrod with “tulip” end, “swell”, and measuring just over 39 ½” long. No threads remaining at end. Rusted and in relic condition but has been cleaned, coated and is well preserved. Interesting relic from the last days of the Civil War. [jet]
