Rusted and crushed cylindrical ration can recovered in the East Woods area of the Antietam battlefield. The can was made with a folded seam that is still visible running up one side.
The top lid was lost when opened but the bottom lid is present. About a quarter of the can is missing.
Any relic from Antietam is not common, especially one from the area of the East Woods.
