This a straight section of a Model 1842 rifled musket ramrod. The section meas. approx. 25.25 inches long and ends with the rammer head. The head is not solid but has a small hollowed-out section.
Iron surfaces are rusted but in good condition.
This ramrod section was recovered at Fredericksburg, Virginia.
