Very nice view of one of the interior rooms of Libby Prison as arranged with displays for the Chicago World’s Fair. The view gives a good look at the room and the beams supporting it and the rafters above. The room is filled with framed items and display cases full of relics but it still gives a good idea of what the interior looked like for the men held there during the war.
Image has excellent clarity and contrast and is mounted on yellow stock and bears the caption “1793. VIEWS AT LIBBY PRISON, CHICAGO. INTERIOR VIEW.”
Card was published by H. H. BENNETT of KILBOURN, WISCONSIN.
Reverse is blank. [ad]
