This stereo card is a very close view of President Lincoln’s catafalque during the funeral procession in New York City. The image is on a greenish-blue mount and is a little light in contrast. Clearly visible is a line of Veteran Reserve Corps soldiers alongside the heavily decorated catafalque with the Presidents coffin very visible at center. Image is number 353 in a series called “AMERICAN VIEWS- NEW YORK CITY.” No photographer is named. Reverse has an old label from a previous owner stating his terms of loan etc…
