Image is a chest-up view of an unidentified Confederate major. He wears a double-breasted frock coat with the single star of a major on his collar.
Contrast and clarity are good. The image looks to be a lithograph but it may be a retouched photo. Paper and mount are good. Bottom of the mount is marked “BENDANN” and “BALTIMORE.”
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for BENDANN BROS… BALTIMORE. Reverse also has a green 3 cent tax stamp and some collector’s information in pencil.
